Stunning red flowers with yellow tips appear in summer, over fine, sea green narrow foliage; extremely tough, enduring hot, humid conditions; great for sunny borders and containers; suitable for fresh and dried cut flowers. Red Gomphrena has masses of beautiful red ball-shaped flowers with yellow tips at the ends of the stems from late spring to late summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its narrow leaves remain bluish-green in color throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
